Welcome!

You've stumbled on my photography blog, thanks for visiting!

I'm a wedding photographer working in and around the Seattle area. Photography is a fantastic profession, and being able to be so involved in the most important day in the lives of so many couples is truly a blessing. My own style is highly influenced by photojournalistic school of wedding photography. At every wedding, I strive to capture emotion and tell the story of the day.

My mother was a professional photographer, so I guess it runs in the genes. She died of cancer when I was 3 years old, however, and I never explored my artistic side...until one day I found myself bored with school. I picked up a camera and began to shoot. I loved it. Not only did it provide a way for me to connect with the mother I never knew, it tapped into a passion I didn't know I had. I've since come so far as a photographer, meeting lots of great people along the way.

If you like what you see, don't hesitate to me. Enjoy the blog!

Afra and Chris | Engagement Photography | Seattle

I met up with Afra and Chris for a meeting to discuss their wedding, and took their engagement photos right afterwards. Afra was looking for a photographer who was a little more traditional (right up my alley) and we hit it off. After our meeting we took the engagement photos as the sun was setting out at Alki. I love them. Here’s a preview….

I just found out an old favorite image of mine was selected to appear in an ad for an upcoming issue of Seattle Bride and Groom. The ad is for McCormick & Schmick’s, who wanted to find an image to showcase the fact that they are the official event and catering planners for the Museum of Flight.

The image in the magazine will be color, but here’s the original in its pristine form:

Carolyn and Joshua | Wedding Photography | Twin Cities

I flew all the way out to Minnesota to photograph Carolyn and Joshua’s wedding. The trip was well worth it and I had a great time. I espcially liked the shots I got in the limo! Have a look….

Caitlin and Josh | Wedding Photography Slideshow | Seattle

Caitlin and Josh tied the knot at Kubota Garden in Seattle, and had their reception at Mount Baker Community club.

We were pretty afraid it was going to train, but as luck would have it the sun was out all day. Yeah! The light cloud cover meant that I got to shoot in what is normally my favorite lighting. What a great wedding, check it out below….
